Chiropractic Care and Winter Illness

Woman in snowy winter.

This incredible story of twin girls is a great example of the power of our body and the part chiropractic plays.

Can Chiropractic really help with winter illnesses?

Yes!

Chiropractic care is about much more than back pain and neck pain.

This incredible story of twin girls is a great example of the power of our body and the part chiropractic plays.

On the 13th of January, 1950 in the former USSR, a young woman gave birth to twins. However, when she woke from the anaesthesia she was informed the babies had died at birth. But that was a lie. What really happened was the girls were born conjoined twins. One of the most unusual and interesting cases ever seen. They had been secretly taken away to be studied at an institute near Moscow.

“Masha” and “Dasha” were joined at the hips. They shared circulatory, excretory, digestive, lymphatic and hormonal systems. This means germs in one twin’s blood would quickly move into the other twin’s blood. Yet one developed measles, but the other didn’t. Over the years this happened again and again. Colds, flu’s, and other illnesses were experienced separately.

So how could the various “germs” be in both girls' bloodstream, but only one becomes ill?

Though Masha and Dasha had many shared body systems there was one significant anatomical difference. They had separate spinal cords. Separate nervous systems.

“Chiropractic is based on a simple idea: a properly working nervous system allows the body to better heal itself and to function at its full potential.

Or put another way, the health of your nervous system plays a major role in your ability to resist and overcome diseases.

And because your nervous system is involved in everything your body does, it makes sense that your overall health (including your immunity to Winter’s illnesses) would benefit from a healthy spine.

Chiropractic has become the fastest growing wellness profession in the world as people’s desire for a natural approach increase.”
